라디오헤드의 *Street Spirit (Fade Out)*은 90년대 대중음악 속에서 절망과 소멸의 미학을 독창적으로 형상화한 곡이다. 반복되는 아르페지오와 서늘한 보컬이 불가피한 소멸의 감각을 증폭시키듯, 이 전시는 해체와 붕괴의 미학을 조형적으로 해석한다.

디지털과 아날로그, 물질과 비물질의 경계를 넘나드는 이 전시는 점진적인 소멸의 과정에 주목한다. 전시장 입구의 중첩된 포스터들은 왜곡된 현실을 연출하고, 내부 바닥에 흩어진 컬러 조각들은 해체된 형상의 잔해로 존재한다. 3D 프린팅을 활용한 파편들은 정밀한 생산 속에서도 의도적인 결함을 포함하며, 조형적 불완전성을 강조한다.

벽면의 프레임 속 이미지들은 안정적인 구성을 거부하고, 존재의 붕괴와 변형을 암시한다. 노란색 액자는 구조적 틀과 소멸하는 형상의 관계를 강조하며, 곡의 가사를 차용한 텍스트는 흐릿하게 반복되며 시각적 리듬을 형성한다.

이 전시는 완결되지 않은 형상 속에서 존재의 불완전성을 탐구하며, 소멸과 지속 사이의 긴장을 조형적 실험으로 전환하는 공간이다.

Radiohead’s Street Spirit (Fade Out) uniquely embodies the aesthetics of despair and dissolution within the landscape of 1990s popular music. The repetitive arpeggios and chilling vocals amplify an inevitable sense of fading away, a sentiment that serves as the fundamental emotion of this exhibition.

This exhibition explores the gradual process of disintegration, navigating the boundaries between digital and analog, material and immaterial. At the entrance, layered posters create a distorted reality, while scattered colored fragments on the floor function as remnants of dismantled forms. The 3D-printed pieces, despite their mechanical precision, incorporate intentional flaws, emphasizing the sculptural imperfection inherent in the dissolution of form.

Framed images on the walls reject compositional stability, symbolizing the collapse and transformation of existence. The yellow frame highlights the tension between structural containment and fading imagery, while lyrics from the song are fragmented and repeated, forming a rhythmic visual flow.

This exhibition delves into the incompleteness of existence, transforming the tension between disappearance and continuity into a sculptural experiment.
